PUBLIC SPEAKING

 

Armstrong Garden Centers hosts free classes at all 32 locations. As a Sales Associate with public speaking experience, I have been selected to teach several of these classes. The classes follow a similar format organized by our Corporate Office to ensure continuity of the subject matter. I enjoy adding a touch of my creativity to each class by creating visually stimulating displays and selecting the most eye catching product for my demonstrations. Each class is expected to run approximately one hour in length with time at the end of each lecture to encourage interaction with the attendees in the form of a Q & A to follow. This is a crucial element of developing relationships with customers, as sharing knowledge with an approachable demeanor builds trust and generates a sense of ease and confidence for those who attend. I have developed personal, first name based relationships with many of my customers as a result of my teaching approach.
